Strategic investment in loading automation has enabled AIM to improve productivity and quality and to reduce lead times.
The loading automation software gives agility to react quickly and adapt to changes in customer requirements, as multiple batches and/or single components can be run in whatever sequence is set. e.g. 6 x different batches of 5 parts each could be set to run each full batch complete or with one from of each batch at a time, or in any other configuration. Traceability is kept as pallet positions are numbered.
Each robotic loading system utilises zero point fixturing and allows for 24/7 unsupervised machining with minimal set-up times.
